The Science Museum hosted a two-day workshop at the Institute for the History of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, on 21 May and 22 May 2019. Experts from Britain and China shared existing knowledge and research about the clocks, watches and automata exchanged between Britain and China in the 18th century. During the workshop, speakers were invited to give 20-minute presentations covering various themes. This report provides a summary of the workshops, presentations and group discussions.
