Abstract
Alan Sutcliffe (1930-2014), an employee of ICL Computers, was closely involved in Electronic Music Studios. Interested in electronic music, he attended one of the courses in electronic music technique that Daphne Oram ran after she left the BBC. 'Icarus' is the music that Sutcliffe made that day, recorded on a unique 45RPM record, now in the Museum's collection (inv: 2014-488).
